MEMBERSHIP ADVANTAGES

Membership with ACF Colorado Chefs Association offers many benefits. The ACFCCA is partnered with the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund and the American Master Chefs Order, where our chefs are exclusively selected to participate.

EVENTS

The ACFCCA provides opportunities throughout the year to help you form long-lasting culinary connections, enhance your knowledge and give you an edge in your field. Monthly membership meetings feature an educational component where you gain new contacts and the latest information on culinary trends, practices and techniques. Special events include the Presidents Awards Dinner, annual golf tournament, and Agriculture Day at the Colorado State Capitol.

CERTIFICATION

ACF certification is recognized as a standard of excellence. Each certification level verifies your culinary skills have reached a set benchmark, resulting in a clear path for both culinary and pastry chefs. Certification helps you build a successful culinary career by distinguishing your talent and adding credibility to your experience. Of the ACF certified members polled, 93% say certification is important to their culinary career.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

As a member of the ACF Colorado Chefs Association, you are part of the largest and most active chapter of the ACF, which is the chief trade association of chefs, cooks, food purveyors and students in the country. ACF Colorado Chefs Association (ACFCCA) is a statewide organization. Our membership is made up of culinarians working in restaurants, hotels, country clubs, and culinary schools. Members also hold positions with foodservice companies, agriculture operations, and hospitals. We are one of the largest culinary organizations in the United States. Our culinary goal is to raise the level of professionalism in the Colorado culinary community through education.

COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

ACF Colorado is connected throughout the Colorado culinary, business, agriculture and non-profit communities. The chefs association reaches out to others to find common goals where partnership can be established. It is through partnerships that we strengthen each other to make possibilities turn into realities. CERTIFICATION

The ACFCCA foundation is built on certification. ACF certification adds value to the culinarian, employers and the public. With thousands of chefs competing in the job market, it is essential to prove your culinary competence. Certification through the American Culinary Federation demonstrates skill, knowledge and professionalism to the food service industry. Educational seminars are presented each month that will earn members Continuing Education Hours.

EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES

ACF chapters are available in every state in the union. Chef to chef networking makes job seeking easier through ACF members throughout the United States. Opportunities for educational training are available through regional and national conferences. Additional networking extends outside of the USA through internships offered through such countries as England, France and Italy. ACF chefs are automatically members of the World Association of Chefs and Cooks.

TESTIMONIALS

My modest investment in time and money in the ACF has been by far the best investment we have ever made! By joining and participating with the Top Chefs who make up the ACF, it has raised our game, increased our knowledge of what today’s top chefs are cooking up for tomorrow. My ACF family from coast to coast help expand my knowledge of national and regional culinary trends, they have all helped me dial in products, then they assist me to sell those products in their own local ACF community. I have become a constant ACF advertisement now because I know firsthand how the ACF has become a main ingredient to our success and I explain it like this: if you go to one or two food shows a year, are you doing all you can to stay at the top of your game in the rapidly evolving culinary scene? It is like going to the gym once or twice a year and thinking you are doing a great job of staying in top physical shape! My advice, join the ACF, get involved, you will improve, you will become a leader in your culinary community and have a blast along the way!

Richard Schneider, Tortilla Savant

I enjoy supporting the American Culinary Federation and our Colorado Chefs Association, especially since becoming a part of the educational process. The ACF Colorado Chefs Association has made so many things in my life possible.
