Colorado Ag Day
This year, Colorado Ag Day will celebrate local agriculture March 22, 2018 at The Colorado State Capitol.
A Colorado Ag Council tradition, ACF Colorado Chefs pair with a local grower or rancher, and a State Legislator. Each team will plan and prepare 600 portions of their signature dish, without using open flame, to serve lunch to the hungry Colorado governing body.
This Capitol favorite event attracts a large crowd including Governor Hickenlooper and Colorado legislators, as well as local media personalities. Last year, multiple chefs and food establishments were interviewed and broadcast by 9news, so look for familiar faces in the news that evening!
A special thank you to our ACF Colorado Chefs: Aran Essig, University of Northern Colorado; Danny Flanagan, ACFCCA Apprenticeship Program; JP Krause, Children’s Hospital Colorado; Mark Yacovetta, Valley Country Club; Chris Rybak and Steve Vlass, Arapahoe Basin; Jason Morse, 5280 Culinary; Greg Sever, MorningStar at RidgeGate; Ron Pickarski, Eco Cuisine; Kenna Tierney, Isle Casino and Lady Luck Black Hawk; Emma Nemechek, Omni Interlocken; Marcia Kramer, Johnson & Wales University; Brandon Durio, Cherry Creek Schools; ACF Colorado Chefs Association Apprentices.
